What is Ringly?
Ringly creates beautiful smart jewelry and accessories that keep you effortlessly connected to the things that matter most. Our core belief is that technology can be more discreetly integrated into our lives. Ringly places style and simplicity above all else and our first product line is a collection of rings.
How does the Ringly ring work?
We have built a simple solution so that women will never have to worry about missing an important message because their phone was hidden in the bottom of their bag or purse. Ringly connects to your phone so you can receive subtle notifications about what’s important. Through the Ringly app, you can set custom color and vibration patterns for different types of notifications. The accompanying ring box also acts as a charging station; simply place your Ringly in the box to recharge when the battery is low.
What is Ringly made of?
Ringly is designed with semi-precious and precious gemstones set in an 18 carat heavy gold or rhodium-tone plated brass setting. Notification lights are shown through a small gemstone on the side of the ring.
Ringly’s 2014 Fall & Winter Pre-Order Collection offers five different types of opaque, semi-precious and precious gemstones:

Is there any difference between the types of rings?
Style-wise, absolutely! Functionally, no difference between the different rings.
What sizes are available?
Initially, Ringly will be available in US ring sizes 6, 7 and 8. We will ask you for your ring size prior to shipping. For sizing help, see our sizing guide.
Can Ringly be sized up or down?
Unfortunately due to the plating process, Ringly cannot be resized.
How small are the gemstones?
The gemstones are 14×19mm, approximately the size of an almond.
Can I change my ring style after I order?
If you wish to change your ring style, please contact us at [email protected] within 30 days. Rings are available in limited quantities, so you may not be able to change your style if unavailable.
Where do the gemstones come from?
Ringly’s stones are sourced from across the world. We are committed to providing our customers with ethically mined gemstones. Ringly only works with suppliers that state they use conflict free stones and responsible sourcing and will continue to do so in the future.
Is Ringly water-resistant? Can I wash my hands while I’m wearing it?
Yes, Ringly is water-resistant. We don’t however recommend getting it soaking wet: you can wash your hands, but don’t take it swimming, diving or aqua cycling!
What kind of warranty do you provide?
All Ringlys come with a 1 year limited warranty.
Is Ringly patented?
Ringly's technology is patent pending.
What phone platforms and devices are supported?
Ringly supports both iOS and Android users.

Where can I get the Ringly app?
Will Ringly work without a phone?
Ringly will also work with supported tablets, but without a phone or tablet, Ringly is simply a stylish accessory!
What notifications are supported?
The app will support phone calls, texts, emails, out-of-range-from-phone notifications, calendar alerts and a variety of popular applications (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Uber, eBay, Tinder, etc.) Your phone must have notifications turned on for an application to work with Ringly.
How do I set up my Ringly?
Simply open the Ringly app, click connect and confirm the pairing. The ring will automatically pair with your device and start receiving notifications immediately.
What is the range of communication between Ringly and my mobile device?
It depends on a number of factors, but on average Ringly will work 20-30 feet or more from your phone.
Is using the Ringly secure?
Absolutely. Ringly uses industry standard encryption to keep your data safe and secure and Ringly does not collect any user-specific information. The Ringly app will receive the notifications, but no data or content is stored or sent to a third party.
Can the ring functionality be updated after I receive it?
Yes, both the ring and the app will be updated periodically with additional features and improvements.
How much does a Ringly cost?
We are taking pre-orders at a special price of $195–$260, depending on the stone. We also have a referral program online, so help us spread the word and for every person you refer who makes a purchase, we will credit you $15 back, up to the cost of one Ringly ($195).
I don’t have a credit card. Do you accept debit cards, PayPal, Bitcoin?
Currently we accept both debit and credit Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diner’s Club and Discover. We don't accept other payment types online at this time, but please contact us at [email protected] if you cannot pay with a credit or debit card.
Can I update my shipping address later?
Please contact [email protected] with your confirmation number if you need to change your shipping address.
What is Ringly’s anticipated ship date for pre-orders?
Ringly has started shipping and is fulfilling orders in the order that they were placed as soon as more rings are ready.
If you ordered your ring before Sept 1, 2014 and already entered your size and address, then your order is in the queue and will arrive early 2015. If you ordered after Sept 1, 2014, then you will receive an email requesting your size and address when we are ready to ship your ring.
How safe is your payment platform? Do you store credit card details?
Extremely secure. All transactions are encrypted with 128-bit SSL. We use Stripe to process online payments and your credit card information does not go to Ringly.
Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor, which has in turn been certified as a PCI Level 1 Service Provider, the most stringent level of certification available. You can confirm Stripe’s certification in Visa's registry of service providers. Stripe is also a participant in the PCI Security Standards Council.
I did not receive a confirmation email after I’ve placed my pre-order. Did my order get through?

I keep seeing ‘payment error’ when I try to make payment. What’s wrong?
Payment errors happen for a variety of reasons. We use Stripe to process our online payment. For more information on why your payment did not go through, please see https://stripe.com/help/declines.
For U.S. customers, what is the sales tax and shipping cost?
Shipping is $5 per ring in the United States. Prices are inclusive of sales tax.
Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely! We ship globally and international shipping is US$20. However, the recipient is responsible for any additional taxes and/or duties on delivery.
What is your pre-order refund policy?
If you decide to cancel your pre-order, please contact us and we will refund your purchase up to 90 days from when your order was placed.
What is your return and exchange policy?
We hope you love your Ringly, but if not, we will happily accept exchanges or returns for a complete refund, less original shipping costs, if postmarked within 30 days.
Can I switch my ring style after placing a pre-order?
Absolutely! As long as the style is still available for pre-order, just email [email protected] with your order number and the change you’d like to make. We never store your credit card information, so if there’s a difference in price, we’ll happily cancel and refund your original order and ask you to place a new order for the preferred style. Please note any new pre-order will ship on the date currently noted on our website at the time your pre-order is placed.
How do referrals work?
At the end of checkout, you’ll receive a unique referral link to share with friends. Share your unique link and anybody who clicks on your link and makes a purchase will be credited to you within 48 hours. Each referral will earn you $15 back, up to the cost of a ring ($195). Refer enough friends and you can get a free Ringly!
How will I receive my referral credit?
We will credit back your credit or debit card but it may take up to a week for the credit to appear on your statement.
How does Ringly charge?
Your Ringly comes in its very own ring box that doubles as a charger. Just place your ring back into its box and plug it into a USB outlet to start charging. The ring box has its own battery that should last over a week without needing to plug it in, but we recommend you plug it in regularly to ensure it has a charge.
How long does the battery last?
Depending on usage, your Ringly should last 24–48 hours before needing to be recharged. You can keep an eye on your Ringly’s battery in the Ringly app.
Can the battery be replaced?
The battery is not replaceable.
Are you going to offer any jewelry aside from rings?
Will you be offering other colors, metals, stones, etc. at a later date?
Do you plan on making a version for men?
I want to use my Ringly for everything! Can it unlock my car, pay for my lunch, track my sleep, do my taxes?
Ringly is focused on designing beautiful pieces that seamlessly integrate into our lives. We are adding functionality every day, but at launch the ring will provide notifications and alerts. Keep an eye out as we announce additional functions in the coming months.
